LIGASANO® white PUR foam may lead to a significant reduction of germs in the wound area. This showed us the progress of wound healing at a 65 years old patient with an infected venous ulcus cruris. Before the treatment with LIGASANO® white the wound was treated with a argentic dressing, that didn´t lead to the desired succes after three weeks. At admission to the hospital the skin was heavy reddened and irritated. The wound showed fibrinous coats (fig. 6.1.). Directly after primary wound cleaning the wound was dressed with LIGASANO® white.
After two weaks of treatment with LIGASANO® white PUR foam the wound was nearly complete healed and the wound area wasn´t irritated (fig. 6.2.). An adapted compression therapy supports the wound healing.
